Bread for the World, the nation’s largest ecumenical anti-hunger advocacy group, will be holding its annual Offering of Letters workshop in Barbelin Hall on Sunday, April 10 from 2:00 – 5:00 PM.  The issue this year reforming US foreign assistance to provide more effective relief for the one billion people in our world who go to bed hungry each night.  Learn more about this crucial issue and how you can help.  Good information, food and friends will be available. Calling All Cooks! Old St. Joseph’s Outreach needs your recipes for a cookbook. We already have over 125 recipes from some of your kitchens – thanks! However, we still need more. Centering Prayer: Mon., 3/21/11, 6:30pm

The centering prayer group will meet on Monday, Mar. 21 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the 3rd-floor conference room. The meeting will include viewing of a DVD on contemplative prayer, some discussion, and Mass with a period of centering. Anyone interested in contemplative prayer is welcome to join us. Interfaith Series begins this Wednesday,...

An Interfaith series entitled “Care for the Earth, A Common Value” will begin this Wednesday, Feb. 16, 7-9 pm in Barbelin Hall. Viewing of the video “Renewal” will be followed by discussion. This is the first of two sessions on different aspects of the same topic., Session Two will be held same place and time on Wed. March 16. All are invited to both or either session. Carlo C. Sena, restaurateur and father of OSJ parishioner, Luca Sena, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2011. His viewing was last night at the Monti-Rago Funeral Home, 2531 S. Broad Street. His Funeral Mass was this morning at Holy Spirit Church, 1845 Hartranft St., and burial in New St. Mary Cemetery, Bellmawr, PA. Please keep the Sena Family in your thoughts and prayers.
