OSJ Book Study Group

OSJ Book Study Group: Everyone is welcome to join us on Oct. 11, 2012 at 7 PM, in the Library, to begin discussion of the documents of Vatican II.  In honor of the fiftieth anniversary of the Second Vatican Council, we will read three Vatican II documents.  The first will be The Dogmatic Constitution on the Church, also named “Lumen Gentium.  This document describes and defines the Church of Christ on earth, setting forth fundamental concepts within which to understand it, structures and roles for various bodies within the Church, the mission of the Church in the world, and its relationship to Christ, His Mother and the Communion of Saints.  There will be three discussions; the first will be on the anniversary of the opening of the Council, Oct. 11.  The next two meetings will be determined by the group.  For more details, please call or email Bill Culleton: 215-284-2960 or wcully2@comcast.net.
