Guest Choirs Coming to OSJ! Sunday, 11/4 & Saturday, 11/10

Sunday, Nov. 4 at 4:00pm: The St. Peter’s Choir will present a service of Choral Evensong at Old St. Joseph’s Church. This service will be in observance of the Feasts of All Saints and All Souls, and will include an opportunity for all present to light a candle in memory of loved ones as they offer their prayers.
The St. Peter’s Choir consists of boys and girls as well as adults, professional and volunteer, who sing the weekly Eucharistic liturgy and other special services and concerts. Music will include motets by William Byrd and Colin Dill as well as the premiere of settings of the Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis by Andrew Senn. The choir is directed by Peter Hopkins and accompanied by organist Paula Pugh Romanaux. All are invited to attend.

 

The Fairfield Glee Club Returns at 5:30 Mass on Saturday, November 10: As in previous years, the Fairfield University Glee Club will sing at the 5:30 Vigil Mass on November 10. In the past, they have generally performed a brief musical program after the Mass as well. Please make our guests welcome, and enjoy the beautiful music!
