Dear OSJ Family,
Happy Easter Season!
I write this week on behalf of all in our parish and the many visitors who celebrated these past few weeks with us at OSJ.
Firstly I extend a word of thanks to all who helped to make our Patronal Feast of Saint Joseph such a success. It was a great celebration of our holy patron! I offer special thanks to Joe Casey and his fine crew of parish volunteers who decorated, set-up and cleaned-up Barbelin Hall, who prepared and served an incredible meal, and who made their way to South Philly to bring us the traditional Italian St. Josephs cakes, zeppoles—they were a huge hit! Accordingly, we thank the good owners of Termini Brothers Bakery for kindly donating the cakes in honor of their founder Mr. Joseph Termini. We are most grateful.
Secondly, I want to thank all of those parishioners who helped to make our Holy Week Liturgies such a prayerful experience for so many. Thank you to the Liturgy Committee, the altar servers, the lectors, the Eucharistic ministers, the ushers, the hospital ministers, and the wonderful music ministers—under the direction of Pasquale Montenegro—who helped to make our Holy Week so beautiful. We are grateful.
Again OSJ continues to thrive and flourish because of the generosity of so many. We are grateful to you. Thank you.
May the grace of Easter fill all of us with even greater gratitude!
