Dear OSJ Family,
In my homily last Sunday at the 9:30am Mass, I spoke of how so many of us allow our fears to keep us chained, imprisoned if you will, and that fear often keeps us from trusting God. Many have told me that they could resonate with what I had said and that they took courage from a prayer I had used in my homily. More than a few of you asked for a copy! With that, I share that prayer with you now in hope that it inspires you to face your fears and to place your trust in our Loving God who is always our stronghold and our defense!
Here are the beautiful words of Saint Francis DeSales:
Do not fear what may happen tomorrow.
The same loving Father who cares for you today will care for you tomorrow and every day.
Either he will shield you from suffering or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it.
Be at peace then and put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginings.
