Welcome! Thank you for visiting our church music pages here at Old St. Joseph’s Church, the oldest Roman Catholic church in Philadelphia. Here you will find information about our upcoming liturgies and concerts, as well as ways you can become involved in our outreach of music. Music at Old St. Joseph’s Church spans a near century-long tradition of outstanding liturgical music and concerts, offering to our parish and city an abundance of sacred choral literature and organ repertoire, from the great Catholic heritage of Gregorian chant, through the renaissance, baroque, and 20th century repertoire. We invite you to join us here in our proclamation of joy and hope!

The poet Fred Pratt Green sums up so wondrously our highest aspiration for our music: “Let every instrument be tuned for praise! Let all rejoice who have a voice to raise. And may God give us faith to sing always Alleluia!”

Hoping to see you often throughout this season, I am,

Faithfully yours,

Mark Bani, D.M.A.

Director of Music and Organist

Old St. Joseph’s Church
